It’s hard to believe that this resort town, got more than three thousand years old history. Comfortable hotels, clean beaches, cozy restaurants and cafes – only emphasize its modernity. But this does not mean that the historical part of town has been forgotten. During one of excursions we visit one of the most important places of the island – Mountain Filerimos, where in ancient times was the acropolis of ancient city.
Ialyssos area – the most popular holiday destination on the island among fans of water sports. Many worldwide windsurfing competitions are held here. Along the beach there are several schools where anyone can learn this type of sport.
This area is probably the most popular place for visits among residents of the island. The location of the town, which stretches along the west coast, is contributes to this. Many couples come here to enjoy sea views in the evening, to take a walk along the beach or dine by candlelight on the backdrop of the setting sun under the relaxing sound of the waves.
